Belize: Tropical Wonderland

Belize, previously known as British Honduras, is an English-speaking country in Central America. It is bordered on the east by the Caribbean Sea, Mexico to the north, and Guatemala to the south and west. With a land mass the size of the state of Massachusetts, Belize has a diverse population of 250,000 who speak Spanish in the north and west, Mayan and Garifuna in the south, and Chinese, German, Arabic, or Hindi in other parts of the country.

Belize is known for its natural beauty and friendly people. Many diving enthusiasts consider it to be one of the great diving capitals of the world because of its location along the largest coral reef in the western hemisphere. Although the country is small, it has a unique mixture of mountains, coral islands, silver beaches, Mayan pyramids, and rain forests. The blend of various ethnic groups and diverse geography makes Belize an enchanting tropical paradise for groups interested in exploring the treasures of Central America.
